KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- A Kirksville teen, free on bond for a pending case, is now back in custody.

Brendan Harris, 19, is charged with tampering with electronic monitoring equipment, after police were called to his residence concerning a report of a domestic disturbance. Harris is being held in the Adair County jail under $25,000 cash only bond.

According to court papers, when police arrived at his residence, they noticed Harris had cut off his ankle monitoring device. The monitoring device was a requirement of his bond conditions in another case in which he is charged with second degree burglary, stealing of a firearm and felony stealing.

Harris is scheduled to be arraigned on the previous charges next week in Adair County Circuit Court.
