KIRKSVILLE, MO. -- With another round of snow scheduled to hit the Heartland, MoDot is already making preparations for the possible white out conditions.
On Monday, Missouri Department of Transportation crews began moving the snow back away from the roadways and cleaning out the crossovers on divided highways to make room for the new snow that they are going to have to plow beginning Monday night and Tuesday.
MoDOT Area Engineer, Amy Crawford, said they are making sure staff is prepared again.
“One of the major things that we're doing because this storm is not expected to hit the south part of the state, we're shifting resources from our southern districts up to the north part of the state while the weather is good,” Crawford said.
