PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- A Unionville man, who entered a guilty plea to one sex related felony, could avoid a long stretch in prison.

Harrison Collins, 63, entered the plea to a single count of second degree statutory sodomy in January. His trial had been moved from Putnam County to Mercer County on a change of venue.

Collins was sentenced to six years in prison, with a suspended execution of that sentence. He was ordered to spend 100 days in the Department of Corrections Sex Offender Assessment Unit. Following that 100 days, the judge will decide whether to send Collins to prison or to place him on probation.
