Teen charged with selling drugs to minors

LAPLATA, MO. -- An investigation into possible drug activity results in a Northeast Missouri man facing numerous felony charges.

Ambrose "Jack" Booth, 19 of LaPlata is charged with two counts of distributing a controlled substance to a minor, and one count of distributing marijuana. He is also charged with two misdemeanors. He is being held in the Macon County Jail under $46,000 cash-only bond.

Booth is accused of selling marijuana to two people, each fourteen years of age.

He's also accused of selling the pot to another person seventeen years old. While at Booth's residence LaPlata police and Macon County deputies found several items of various drug paraphernalia along with a small amount of pot and a baggie containing a white powdery substance.

Booth is scheduled for his initial arraignment in Macon County Associate Circuit Court on Thursday.
