Former school bus driver gets trial date on sex charge

PUTNAM COUNTY, MO. -- A former northeast Missouri school bus driver now knows when he will stand trial on a sex related felony charge that occurred while he was on duty.

Ricky Parris, 52, of Pollock, is charged with first degree child molestation in connection with incidents involving a seven year old victim. Parris remains free on bond. Parris is also facing a charge of possession of child pornography in nearby Sullivan County.
   
According to court papers, there were three separate incidents of Parris inappropriately touching the victim, two of the incidents occurred on the school bus. 
   
Parris is scheduled to stand trial October 31 in Putnam County Circuit Court.
