JASON P. O’BRYAN
10/25/1977 – 1/2/2013

Jason Paul O’Bryan, 35, of Kirksville, Missouri, passed away unexpectedly, Wednesday (January 2, 2013) at Northeast Regional Medical Center in Kirksville.

The son of Paul Rodney O’Bryan and Deborah Jean Snowbarger, he was born October 25, 1977 in Kirsville, Missouri.

Jason is survived by his mother, Debbie Snowbarger of Kirksville, MO; one sister and brother-in-law Melissa Renee and Andy Schniedermeyer of St. Louis, MO; aunts and uncles, Mary Beth Tuley, Mike and Tammy Tuley, Larry and Melinda O’Bryan, Kent and Sara O’Bryan Kevin and Lynell O’Bryan, Shelly O’Bryan and Jeff and Stephanie O’Bryan, as well as two nephews, Blake and Cole Schniedermeyer.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Jason took with him an unsurpassed sense of wit, undeniable intelligence and a powerful sense of humor. He was known at Kirksville High School as a standout football player and trendsetter, always sharpening his electronics skills and sharing the latest music.   After graduating from KHS in 1996, he was fortunate to call many places his home.  Among his favorites were the University of Missouri  in Columbia, and Phoenix, Arizona.

He was loved by everyone; not only by friends and family, but especially by his doting mother, Debbie and big sister, Melissa.  Hewas often heard relating endearing stories from the past with all those he loved.

Jason truly embraced  life as evidenced by his recent statement, “I made sure I had fun EVERY SINGLE DAY.  No regrets here.”

Jason had a talent for making others laugh and feel like an integral part of the group.  He had a passion for writing and was a true wordsmith.  To quote a good friend at the time of his parting, “I feel like someone  should say something profound and witty…but no one could do it like OB.”

Jason has been cremated and a memorial service will be held in his honor at 11:00am Saturday (January 5, 2013) in the chapel of Travis-Noe Funeral Home in Kirksville, with Pastor Dennis Huskisson presiding.

Expressions of sympathy in memory of Jason O’Bryan may be made to the American Diabetes Association or to the American Kidney Foundation. Memorials may be left at or mailed to Travis-Noe Funeral Home, PO Box 306, Kirksville, MO 63501.
