KIRKSVILLE, MO -- A few dogs got to show off their styles for a great cause.
The Kirksville Social Butterflies Relay for Life Team held a Doggy Fashion Show at the Rotary Park Amphitheater.
The dogs and their owners had a chance to dress up and strike a pose on the stage in categories such as Bow Wow Wear and Favorite Sports Team.
Organizers wanted to do this to help raise money for the American Cancer Society and take a stand against cancer.
"All of us are affected by cancer. We either know someone or a family member that has it or battled it in the past. We just wanted to raise some money, have some fun, and benefit to those who are survivors and give hope that more will be cancer free," said Social Butterflies Relay for Life Team member Anita Hindman.
The winners got prizes such as dog food, vet supplies, and toys.
The Relay for Life in Kirksville is set to take place in April.
