Missouri Basketball returns to the friendly confines of Mizzou Arena on Tuesday as the Tigers battle a familiar face, new South Carolina Head Coach Frank Martin and the Gamecocks, on Tuesday evening at 6 p.m. on ESPNU.
Martin spent five seasons as the Head Coach at Kansas State (six seasons total) and handed Missouri its lone homecourt defeat in 2011-12, a 78-68 decision on Feb. 21 .
Missouri has not lost at home since that 10-point contest and has won 11 consecutive home games leading into Tuesday.
Missouri is in the middle of conference play, but the Tigers are facing a third league opponent for the first time .
Missouri had never faced Ole Miss or Florida on the hardwood and will now have its initial game with South Carolina .
The clubs will also meet in Columbia, S.C., on Feb. 28.
The Tigers will look to continue their strong play at Mizzou Arena with Haith at the helm (25-1, .962) and since the 2008-09 season the Tigers are a dominant 76-4 (.950) and have never dropped more than two home games in a single season.
Senior forward Laurence Bowers is doubtful for Tuesday's game
Bowers is nursing a sprained MCL in his right knee, but has made significant progress since sustaining the injury on Jan. 8.
