Truman Cross Country competes at regional race

The Truman Cross Country teams competed in the NCAA Central regional race on Saturday with the women finishing 12th overall and the men coming in 19th.

Top placers were Karen Grauel in 17th and Brad Hart in 81st.
 
Grauel finished the six kilometer course in 21:54.8 while sister Cindy Grauel was the second Bulldog to cross in 71st position with a time of 23:07.3. Katie Hirsch was 77th, Abby Palm 81st and Miranda Biddle 99th to give Truman 332 points.

The Bulldogs were 12th out of the 26th teams in the regional.
 
Hart outraced Andrew Sheets to the line by six seconds to take top team honors for the men.

Hart finished in 32:28.5 while Sheets was in 84th at 32:34.3. Chad Petrofsky came in at 100, Patrick Fink finished 110 and Christopher Floyd was 151st. Truman finished with 513 points to place 19th out of 23 teams in the ten kilometer race.
 
Augustana (S.D.) won both the men’s and women’s races.
