Missouri and Arizona State will take the field for the 7th time when they square off Saturday night in Columbia, Mo., and the winner will break a 3-3 deadlock from the previous six matchups.
The Sun Devils tied the series up with an exciting 37-30 overtime win in Tempe last season.
Saturday will mark ASU's first game in Columbia since 1990, when MU upset the 21st-ranked Sun Devils by a 30-9 score in Columbia.
That avenged a 19-3 loss in Tempe in the year before, which followed consecutive wins by Mizzou in Tempe in 1977 (15-0) and in Columbia in 1974 (9-0).
The first-ever meeting between Mizzou and Arizona State was a wild affair in the 1972 Fiesta Bowl, won in 49-35 fashion by ASU in its home stadium.
In what was the 2nd edition of the fledgling bowl game, there was 1,129 yards of total offense, including a massive 718 for ASU (MU had 411 yards).
