(AP) --  Mount Pleasant hung on for an epic 66-62 win in double overtime over  Western Dubuque in the Class 3A title game Saturday night.

Jordan Ashton scored 20 points and  Blake Vandenberg added 16 points and 12 rebounds for the Panthers (26-1), who blew a 10-point lead but rallied in double-OT after Ashton had fouled out.

TJ Lake missed two free throws for Western Dubuque with 12 seconds left in the first overtime that would have iced the game.

Dalton Conrad's 3 seven seconds later pushed the game into double overtime.

Vandenberg scored five quick points after that, and Mount Pleasant hit their free throws en route to their first state title since 1918.
