(AP) -- Truman State Sophomore Ryan Maus lost two closely contested matches and was eliminated in the second round of the NCAA Division II Wrestling championships on Friday.

Maus lost 3-1 in his opening match and 2-0 in the consolation round to end his season at 22-11.

Maus, making his second straight trip to the national meet, lost his opening round bout of the 149-pound weight class 3-1 to Maryville University (Mo.) John Hagerty.

In the consolation round, Maus bowed out following a 2-0 defeat to Ethan Swope of Gannon (Pa.) University
