Truman sophomore Ryan Maus will take on freshman John Hagerty from Maryville (Mo.) University in the opening match of the NCAA Division II Wrestling Championships on Friday from Colorado State University-Pueblo.
 
Maus qualified for his second straight national championship meet by placing second in the 149-pound weight class at the super regional back on Feb. 26.

He has a 22-9 record this season while his opponent is 27-4 and placed fourth in their super regional.
 
The opening session will begin at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
 
Maus went 1-2 as a freshman last season in the 141-pound weight class.
