In case you forgot Missouri plays a big football game Saturday

The Missouri Tigers (5-5 overall, 3-4 in Big 12 Conference action), wrap up their 2011 home schedule this Saturday afternoon when they play host to the Texas Tech Red Raiders (5-5, 2-5). Kickoff for the game is set for 2:30 p.m., with the game being televised regionally on ABC Sports.

The Tigers will pay tribute to 26 seniors who will be suiting up for the final time on Faurot Field, and a win would not only send them off the right way, but it would also make Mizzou bowl eligible for a record 7th-straight season.

Mizzou is coming off a resounding 17-5 win over #21 Texas last Saturday in Columbia.

The Tiger defense suffocated the Longhorns - who entered the game as the Big 12's leading rushing unit - and held them to just 76 yards on the ground (they averaged 246.38 per game coming in, ranking 11th nationally), and just 247 yards total (well below their season average coming in of 437.13 yards per game).

Texas Tech comes to town looking to get back on track, as the Red Raiders have lost three straight games, and five of their last six, after getting out to a 4-0 start on the year.

Since that fast start to the season, Tech dropped a couple of close home games to Texas A&M (45-40) and Kansas State (41-34), before they shocked top-ranked Oklahoma in Norman by a 41-38 score, to knock the Sooners from the ranks of the unbeaten.

Since that signature win, however, Texas Tech has dropped three straight by margins of 34 points (41-7 at Iowa State), 32 points (52-20 at Texas) and 60 points (66-6 last Saturday at home to Oklahoma State).
