Four Bulldogs notched double-digit points with freshman guard Allie Norton leading the team as the Truman women’s basketball team fell in a Division I exhibition match-up against the University of Missouri, 82 to 54.

The Bulldog squad stayed within nine at the half after senior Breanna Daniels found the hoop with a last second lay-up, making it a 37-28 game.

She ended the first half leading both teams with 10 points, including two baskets from beyond the arc.

Through the first half, Truman struggled to find shots in the paint after being outscored 2-18 by the Tigers.

Truman was however 5-for-12 from beyond the arc, while Missouri only made two of its seven tries.

The Tigers started the second half on a 24-5 run before the Truman offense gained a little momentum from sophomore Nicole Gloor with 8:28 left in the half.

Gloor added five points on back-to-back possessions for the ‘Dogs to slow down Mizzou’s offense and contribute to Truman’s 10-4 run.

In the contest, Truman went 9-for-24 from the three-point line including Norton who went 4-for-7.

Truman knocked down 32 total rebounds compared to Mizzou’s 46.

The Bulldogs went 13-for-17 from the line and tallied four steals at Mizzou Arena.

The Tiger’s Christine Flores led all players with 17 total points and eight rebounds, followed by teammate Liene Priede with 16 points.

Truman will take the floor on Nov. 12th to kick-off the 2011-2012 regular season against Lindenwood-Belleville.

Tip-off is scheduled for 1:00 pm in Pershing Arena.
