The Truman volleyball team fell in three sets to No. 8 Central Missouri on Wednesday night, 25-19, 25-12, 25-8.
Freshman Allie Brak had a team-high five kills and freshman libero Abby Moser notched a match-high 25 digs.
The Bulldogs (9-7, 1-3 MIAA) hit just .033 in the match, committing 18 errors to counter 22 kills.
The two teams had seven ties and three lead changes in the first set before a quick 5-0 blitz turned an 18-15 UCM edge into a 23-15 advantage.
From there, it was all UCM (14-3, 5-0 MIAA) the rest of the night, as the Jennies rallied behind 13 kills by Allie Huffman and 12 kills by Taylor Goodness.
Brak’s five kills came alongside 12 digs and a pair of aces, while both Megan Sharpe and Molly Sinclair added four kills and a pair of blocks.
Moser’s 25 digs marked the 10th time this season she has put up 20 or more in a match, as the freshman also added two aces.
Truman returns to action this weekend with a pair of MIAA matches, heading to Northwest Missouri on Friday night before returning to Kirksville on Saturday evening at 7:00 pm to face Missouri Western.
