(AP) -- Three months ago, the annoucement for 24 Raceway as "not opening for 2011" was made in late December, but the availability of a lease arrangement was still out there for interested parties.

After a few months of consideration and negotiation, Rick Girard of Columbia, MO has taken on the task to run a full schedule at the Moberly facility, beginning with May 1st.

The plan is for Sunday racing and is set for May into October, with five classes in which to compete, being made available.

The ULMA LateModels are also scheduled for at least four nights throughout the year.

A Sunday daytime practice session from 1 to 4pm is to take place on April 24th, with gates open at 11am.

And then the racing returns to the high banks of 24 Raceway, with the five classes of UMP Modifieds, Sport Mods, Stock Cars, Hobby Stocks and Hornets coming to the half mile dirt track.

Grandstand ticket prices for this year are as follows:  $10 adult; $8 for seniors and 13 to 17 year-old students; $5 for kids 6 to 12 years of age; and free for 5 & under.

Pit passes will be $25 for all adults entering the gate, and only $10 for 10 year-olds and under.

The 2011 schedule is under way, and is currently published on the website of www.24racewayinmobely.com.  The initial part of the schedule follows:
