(AP) -- Mongolian Hakuho has lost to Kisenosato, ending his winning streak end at 63, six wins short of sumo's all-time record of 69 straight wins.

Grand champion Hakuho was bidding to break Futabayama's record at the Kyushu Grand Sumo Tournament, but lost Monday for his first defeat in the past four tournaments.

Futabayama's record of 69 was set from 1936-1939 when there were only two 15-day tournaments a year. There are now six.
