A 23-shot team improvement in the final round helped the Truman golf team secure a fourth-place finish at the Millikin (Ill.) University Fall Classic this weekend.
Jessica Tomash was the top Bulldog finisher with a seventh-place 159, leading the Bulldogs both days with an 81 on Saturday and a 78 on Sunday.
From there, four Bulldogs finished within eight places of each other with Kathryn Hogan (89-82; 24th), Lynn Dreiskiler (89-83; 28th), Kim Barmettler (89-85; 32nd) and Courtney Cisler (93-82; 34th) rounding out the Bulldog team of five. Riley Keltner competed as an individual and put up solid numbers with a 10th-place individual finish (83-79).
Washington (Mo.) University took home the team title with a two-day 617, with Truman tying for fourth at 673.
The Bulldogs close out the fall portion of their schedule by hosting the Bulldog Fall Classic at the Kirksville Country Club on Oct. 14-15.
