(AP) - The NBA schedule has been released, and the champion Miami Heat are part of an opening-night tripleheader.

The Heat will raise their banner at home on Oct. 30 against the Boston Celtics - meaning Ray Allen's first game with Miami is against his former club.

Also on opening night, Washington visits Cleveland and Dallas plays at the Los Angeles Lakers, Steve Nash's debut as Kobe Bryant's teammate.

The first game for the Brooklyn Nets is Nov. 1, when the New York Knicks visit for a matchup of now-crosstown rivals.

Brooklyn is also home for Christmas, hosting Boston. Other Christmas games include the Knicks at Lakers, Oklahoma City at Miami in a Finals rematch, Houston at Chicago and Denver at the Los Angeles Clippers.
