Ottumwa met Iowa City West in a first round game of the state softball tournament in Fort Dodge.

Ottumwa's Sammy Garrett had two of her teams five hits.

It was only the second time the bulldogs have been shut out this year.

Ottumwa will be back on the field Wednesday at noon as they will face Marshalltown.

Ottumwa beat Marshallton 13 to 1 and 3 to 2 back on June 1st.
