Taylor Brooks…Kansas City, Mo. (North Kansas City HS)…6-1…195…R/R…3B/RHP
 
Brooks is a four-year letter winner at North Kansas City High School while also being the squad’s most valuable pitcher the past two seasons.

He was an honorable mention all-conference pick during his career.

Academically, Brooks was the North Kansas City Rotary Club Student of the Month, member of the DECA Club and attended the Rotary Youth Leadership Awards camp.

 

Nick Franklin…Urbandale, Iowa (Waukee HS)…6-1…185…R/R…3B
 
As a junior, Franklin hit .306 with five home runs, 10 doubles 33 runs batted in and 17 runs scored while earning first team all-Dallas County in 2011.

 He was a second team all-Dallas County player as a member of the school’s football team.

He is the son of Scott and Sue Franklin and intends on majoring in Business at Truman.

 

Tyler Hill…Savage, Minn. (Burnsville HS)…5-8…160…R/R…2B/OF
 
Hill was part of a state championship team in 2011 and is a three-year varsity starter.

He was nominated for the All-Star Tournament team for ending the high school sectional playoff and state season with a .600 batting average. 

He was a first-team all-district selection in 2010 and an American Legion most valuable player.

 

Tyler McCreary…Hiawatha, Iowa (Ellsworth CC)…6-3…185…R/R…RHP
 
McCreary is a transfer from Ellsworth Community College (Iowa) where he pitched in 34 innings last season and posted a 3-3 record.

At Alburnett High School, McCreary was a Class 1A first team all-State selection in 2010.

 

Mike Monfre…Menomonee Falls, Wisc. (Milwaukee Area Tech College5-10…180…R/R…C
 
Monfre is a transfer from Milwaukee Area Tech College where he was a 2012 team captain and the 2011 Defensive Player of the Year.

In 2012, in 96 at bats, he had four doubles, a triple, two home runs and drove in 19.

Monfre competed in consecutive state championship games for Marquette University High School, winning in 2008

 

Andrew Range…Edwardsville, Ill. (Triad HS)…6-2…210…R/R…3B/1B/RHP
 
By the time of his high school graduation, Range will be part of a high school program that has won over 100 varsity games during his career.

 He is a four-year letter winner for Triad and plays for the Rawlings Prospects summer team where he hit .420 last season.

 


Mark Roberts…Schaumburg, IL (Hoffman Estates HS)…6-1…180…R/R…RHP
 
Roberts has been a four-year starter for the Hoffman Estates baseball team and will finish his high school career as the school’s career leader for strikeouts by a pitcher.

Mark is the son of Mark and Marianne and is undecided on his major at Truman.


 

Shane Schmidt…Edwardsville, Ill. (Edwardsville HS)…6-0…200…R/R…C
 
Schmidt is the Edwardsville High School class president and an Illinois State Scholar.

He is one of six state finalist for the William Randolph Hearst Scholarship Foundation and is a member of the National Honor Society.

 

Warren Schumilas…Waterloo, Ontario, Canada (Bluevale CI)…
6-0…180…L/L…LHP
                                                  
Schumilas tossed a complete game in a win for the Waterloo Tigers in the Ontario Provincial championship in 2008 and was selected as the starting pitcher for the Eastern Canadian Premier League team in an all-star game against the Western New York squad.

He was also a starting pitcher for Team Canada at the 2011 Junior Sunbelt Classic held in Oklahoma. 

 

Chris Zrostlik…Surprise, Ariz. (Glendale CC)…6-1…205…R/R…1B/3B
                                                  
Zrostlik was a two year starter at Glendale CC (Ariz.) where he has played in 37 games in 2012 with eight doubles, a triple and nine runs batted in.

 He was selected to the Maricopa County sophomore All-Star game.

Zrostlik was a three year letter winner at Willow Canyon High School where he earned first team all-region in both 2009 and 2010 and played in the Arizona All-Star game in 2010.
