Truman softball senior Bridget Schade was named second-team South Central all-region by Daktronics, Inc., on Tuesday afternoon.
After being named first-team all-MIAA in late April, Schade (Herculaneum, Mo., Herculaneum) was just one seven players from the league to be awarded either first- or second-team all-region honors by Daktronics.
She hit a team-best .432 in 139 at-bats this past season and belted 12 home runs. In addition,
Schade drove in 44 RBI’s and drew 30 walks with just 16 strikeouts. She started all 51 games and kept her average higher than .410 for the last 50 games of the year.
In 95 career games as a Bulldog, Schade hit .383 with 30 extra-base hits, including 18 home runs.
She will find spots in Truman’s all-time batting average (third) and home runs (fourth) charts despite playing just two seasons in Kirksville following her transfer from Jefferson College.
