The Kirksville girls soccer team certainly didn't have the season they wanted last year, only winning seven matches. 

This year, things got started on the right foot. 

Kirksville won the Warrenton Tournament today. 

First year coach Shawn Mientz's ladies drew with Warren 2 to 2 in the first match but bounced back beating St. Claire 3 nil to take the title. 

The Tigers host Quincy Notre Dame Tuesday in their next game.
