(AP) -- Iowa will host Dayton in the National Invitational Tournament on Tuesday, the first postseason trip for the Hawkeyes since 2006.
The Hawkeyes (17-16) earned a No. 7 seed to the NIT, while the Flyers (20-12) are seeded second.
But the Flyers won't have their home court available because it's being used to host the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Iowa's last trip to the postseason came six years ago when it was stunned by Northwestern State in the first round of the NCAA tournament.
Dayton, which plays in the Atlantic-10, fell to Xavier in the conference tournament.
The Hawkeyes got beat by eventual Big Ten tournament champion Michigan State 92-75 in Indianapolis on Thursday.
The winner will face either LSU or Oregon in the second round.
