Four Truman wrestlers placed at the Missouri Valley College Open on Saturday.
Ryan Maus took third while brother Alex was fourth for the Bulldogs. Truman will not compete on Sunday as scheduled but will next take to the mats at home on Wednesday night against William Penn University (Iowa).
Ryan, seeded second in the 149-pound weight class, took his first two matches by tech fall and major decision respectively.
Maus was then pinned by unseeded Reece Lefever in the semifinal match.
He was able to rebound and defeat Cullen Haplin by a 7-4 score and the third place spot on the podium.
Alex was involved in three, one-point bouts before having to exit via injury default.
He won his opening match 3-2 over Eric Waggnor and defeated fourth-seeded Jacob Janes 5-4 to get to the semifinals.
Taking on top seeded Gustavo Martinez, Maus lost a narrow 3-2 decision and had to default the third place match to Travis Evans.
Devon Fenstermaker placed seventh in the 157-pound weight class and Warren Galloway and Helmut Rentsschler made it to the seventh place match in 197.
