Fueled by Liz Lestmann’s team-low 78 on day two, the Truman women’s golf team catapulted Lincoln University to finish third in the Bulldog Classic, held at the Kirksville Country Club.
The Bulldog “Purple” team shot a 328 on day two to finish with a two-day total of 680 – eight shots ahead of Lincoln for third and just seven shots back of Missouri Western for second.
Similar to Lestmann, who finished 8th as an individual overall, Jessica Tomash cut ten shots off her second round, carding an 81.
Jessica Schepker, meanwhile, turned in a day two 83 to finish 9th in the event overall. Lynn Dreisilker (86) and Riley Keltner (90) rounded out the Purple squad.
Meanwhile, the Bulldog “White” team cut 23 strokes off its first day total to finish fifth in the event with a two-day 727.
Kathryn Hogan finished just outside the event’s top-ten with a day two 83, while Laura Heien (88) and Courtney Cisler (89) also broke 90.
Anna Staudacher (92) and Jacqui Ball (93) closed out the White squad.
Jessica Kraus (96) and Caitlin Combs (99) competed as individuals in the event.

Nebraska-Omaha took home the team title with a two-day score of 638, led on day two by Armana Christianson’s one-under-par 73. Christianson earned the individual title with a 153, seven shots clear of second-place Rebecca Pollack, also from UNO, who shot a 160.
The Bulldogs finished the fall portion of their 2011-2012 schedule with the event.
