Brandon Spearman aplayer with over 30 games of experience at the NCAA Division I level is the latest addition to the basketball recruiting class at Indian Hills Community College.
IHCC coach Barret Peery says Brandon Spearman will transfer to Indian Hills after playing in 36 games for the University of Dayton as a freshman.
Spearman, a 6-3, 195-pound guard, averaged 2.5 points and nearly 11 minutes a game for the Flyers and will have one year of eligibility at IHCC.
“Brandon is a big, strong guy who can play both guard spots,” said Peery.
“We have high hopes that he can produce right away for us.”
Spearman played for Chicago powerhouse Simeon High School, where he averaged 14.7 points and 7.5 rebounds per game while leading his team to the 4A state championship in 2010.
He was the MVP of the state tourney as a senior, leading Simeon in scoring in all seven postseason games.
Peery said, “Brandon has fantastic experience since both his high school and college teams played at a high level.
We are very excited to have him be a Warrior.”
Spearman is the sixth recruit that Peery has announced have signed with the Warriors this spring.
