Senior Chris Kovach wrapped up his Bulldog career on Wednesday by placing in a tie for 89th place at the NCAA Division II Central/South Central Super Regional.

Kovach fired rounds of 82 and 80 on a soggy Cherry Blossom Golf Course.

The long day began auspiciously early in the morning as the regional fell behind a day after inches of rainfall plagued the area.

Kovach began with a triple bogy on his first hole, the 18th hole at the course and never recovered.

He bogeyed holes three, four and five to move to six-over for the tournament before a birdie on the par four seventh.

However he gave the stroke back on the following hole and finished his second round with four more over par for an 82.

Kovach immediately began his third round and improved by two shots to shoot an 80 but closed the day with a disastrous quad on the par 3 16th hole and a bogey on his final hole, the par 5, 17th.
