KANSAS CITY, MO. (AP) -- The Kansas City Chiefs have selected defensive end Gabe Miller of Oregon State with their second pick in the fifth round of the NFL draft.
Known as one of the fastest ends in the Pac-10, Miller could be used as an outside linebacker in Kansas City's 3-4 defense. The Chiefs have been looking for someone to strengthen the pass rush and complement Tamba Hali, who had 14½ sacks last year and was invited to his first Pro Bowl.
With their first selection in the fifth round, KC went for Iowa quarterback Ricky Stanzi.
