Iowa State Recruit Tyrus McGee Named JUCO All-American

(AP) -- Iowa State basketball recruit Tyrus McGee has earned junior college All-American honors.

McGee, who has signed to play for the Cyclones next season, has been named a first-team Division I All-American after a standout season for Cowley County Community College in Kansas.

McGee scored 20.1 points a game while shooting nearly 50 percent from 3-point range.

The 6-foot-2, 190-pound McGee, who will be a junior in 2011-12, led his team to a 25-8 record.
