(AP) -- Iowa State's men's basketball team is headed to Italy.
The Cyclones will spend 11 days in Italy in August, playing between four and five games against local professional teams.
Iowa State will start its tour in Milan, with overnight stays in Florence and Rome as well.
Cyclones coach Fred Hoiberg says the trip will give his revamped team 10 valuable days of experience.
Iowa State adds four key transfers and three freshmen in 2011-12.
It's Iowa State's first foreign trip since 2004. The NCAA allows teams to take a summer foreign trip every four years.
