Indian Hills Community College volleyball coach Terry Carlson has announced that Jessi Black from Ottumwa has signed a national letter-of-intent to attend Indian Hills and play volleyball for the Warriors.
Black was a two-year starter for the Bulldogs and helped lead them to one of the best seasons in school history last fall.
She was named to the CIML Metro Conference all-conference first team after leading the Bulldogs in digs, averaging 3.9 per set, and ace serves.
Black was also second on the squad in kills with 2.3 per set.
“I have watched Jessi develop in her career through her matches and attending my camps,” said coach Carlson.
“What impresses me about her is her passion for competing.
Jessi is an intense and determined player.
She has developed a great passing form and I look forward to utilizing her passing skills.”
Jessi is the daughter of Ed and Lisa Black.
