(AP) -- A union president says one of three University of Iowa hospital workers being fired for allegedly breaching the medical records of injured football players is an employee of 26 years who says she did nothing wrong.

John Stellmach leads an AFSCME union representing 2,200 hospital employees. He says one of the three workers accused of accessing the records of 13 Iowa football players who were hospitalized with a muscle disorder is a member.

Stellmach says the woman has a spotless disciplinary record and has worked in health care for 40 years. He says the woman is accused of viewing unauthorized records for "a matter of seconds," which he calls a minor infraction

Stellmach says he feels she's been wronged and that he hopes to get her job back.
