Seven members of both the men’s and women’s Cross Country teams earned a Truman letter for their participation this fall.
National qualifier Karen Grauel and all-conference runner Adam Kell highlight the list.
On the women’s side, Grauel, along with sister Cindy Grauel, were joined by fellow sophomores Debbie Boedeker on the list.
Other letterwinners were seniors Amanda Brown, Kylie Raithel, junior Anne Ratermann and freshman Katie Hirsch.
Grauel placed 78th at the NCAA Division II Cross Country Championships in December while placing fourth at the regional race and first at the MIAA championships.
Grauel was joined on the all-MIAA list by Ratermann following an 11th place finish at the conference meet.
The team won three meets during the season while placing sixth at the conference meet and fourth at regionals.
Kell was joined by four other seniors in Zach Chapman, Bob Gorman, Alex Phillips and John Venner on the men’s letterwinner list. Junior Joey Walls and sophomore Chad Petrofsky also earned letters for the team.
The men placed fourth at the regional meet in November just missing a chance to go to the national meet and also finished fourth at the MIAA championships.
Kell earned all-conference honors with a ninth place finish while Walls and Venner were honorable mention all-conference.
In the regular season, the Truman men finished second in two meets and fifth in another.
