(AP) --  Iowa coach Fran McCaffery has signed prep
star Josh Oglesby to a national letter of intent.

 Oglesby is a 6-foot-5 shooting guard from Cedar Rapids
Washington High. He'll be eligible to play at Iowa next season.

 Oglesby averaged 16.3 points a game last season and is ranked as
the 118th-best senior in the country by Rivals, a recruiting
publication.

 McCaffery says Oglesby is an outstanding shooter who can attack
the rim and play more than one position. McCaffery also says
Oglesby will blend in well with Iowa's current roster.

 The Hawkeyes open the 2010-11 season at home on Sunday against
South Dakota State.
