Notes:
Iowa State will attempt to snap an 11-game losing streak against ranked opponents on Saturday when it hosts 4th-ranked Oklahoma. The Cyclones are coming off a 55-49 loss at Colorado, the Buffaloes first Big 12 win of the year...Oklahoma sophomore forward Blake Griffin is the odds-on favorite for Big 12 Player of the Year and is among a handful of candidates for national player of the year. He'll be opposing fellow sophomore Craig Brackins, who is experiencing a breakout season. Brackins scored 66 points and grabbed 23 rebounds in his last two games, but Iowa State lost both because of a lack of support from Brackins' teammates. Iowa State coach Greg McDermott and Sooners coach Jeff Capel will wear sneakers as part of the NABC/American Cancer Society Coaches vs. Cancer Suits & Sneakers Weekend.
