(AP) - Boosted by a big run from the Texas Rangers, the American League has topped the NL in interleague play for the ninth straight year.

Sunday's games wrapped up this season's schedule of interleague games.

The AL finished with a 142-110 edge.

Texas went (14-4) against NL opponents.

The Colorado Rockies didn't fare so well, going 2-13 against AL teams.

The last time the NL won the season series was 2003.

The AL has won 12 times in the 16 years of interleague play.
