Brandon Spearman will be a long way from the Chicago winters he's used to.

The 6'4" wing player will play for Hawaii next year.

Spearman was a star player for Chicago's Simeon High School before going to Dayton.

A coaching change forced him to transfer to Indian Hills where he averaged 11 points a game and was one of the main reasons the Warriors were 33-4 this year.

Hawaii finished 16-16 this year and is moving to a new league.

They will begin play in the Big West conference this fall after competing in the WAC.
