Truman's Schmitz and Rentschler fall in semifinals

The Truman State Wrestlers finished up the MIAA Tournament and a couple Kirksville natives were in the semifinals.

The Bulldogs finished 6th overall.

It was the first MIAA Wrestling Tournament since 1986.

The Bulldogs tallied 12 points in the championships.

Colton Schmitz (157) led the Bulldogs with a close loss in the semis to UNK's Chase White 3-2.

Schmitz went on to take 3rd.

Helmute Rentschler (197) lost by fall in the semis and took 4th overall.

Nate Sieler (184) joined the sophomore with a 4th place finish.
