BURNSVILLE, Minn. - - Truman State University freshman Adrian Rudd was named the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC) Swimmer of the Week after taking home a pair of first-place finishes in last Saturday’s meet against Drury University.

Rudd, a native of Danville, Ky,. and Boyle County HS, earned nine team points with a first-place finish in the 100 Fly, touching the wall in a time of 59.39 – nearly two full seconds ahead of the second-place finisher.

That performance followed a fourth-place finish in the 200 Free (1:59.76), earning two team points, but preceded a first-place finish as part of the 200 Free Relay team at 1:42.27.

She swam the second leg along with teammates Casey Jepsen, Ashley Shael and Bailey Peterson to pick up 12 team points in the competition.

On the season, Rudd has a pair of B-cut times in the 200 Fly, as well as the team’s top time in the 200 IM.

The squad returns to the pool on Feb. 7-10 in Rochester, Minn., at the NSIC Championships.
