Richie Schumacher of Truman State makes Daktronics all-region second team

Senior Richie Schumacher was selected to the Daktronics all-region second team as the postseason awards continue to be released.
 
Schumacher, a first team all-MIAA pick and two-time all-conference honoree, was fourth in the league in total tackles with 110 and led the conference with three fumble recoveries.

Schumacher also had six tackles for loss, two interceptions and blocked two kicks during his senior season.

He wrapped up his Bulldog career tied for third all-time in tackles with 354 stops in 44 games played.
 
Schumacher had five games during 2012 with over 10 tackles per game with a season-high of 20 stops against Pittsburg State.

 The 20 tackles were the most by a Bulldog in a single-game in 11 years.
 
The Daktronics All-Region team is comprised of student-athletes that make of Super Region 3 (MIAA, Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference, Great Northwest Athletic Conference and Great American Conference).

The team is voted on by Sports Information/Athletics Communication Directors of schools in the region.
