Tigers run at conference

HANNIBAL, MO. -- The Kirksville High School cross country Tigers competed in North Central Missouri Conference action Saturday, Oct. 18 in Hannibal, Mo., at the American Legion Country Club.

On the boys' side, Kirksville senior David Huskisson placed second to secure his spot on the all conference team.  The Kirksville boys' team placed fifth.

Kirksville senior Lauren Updyke placed seventh among the girls to earn all-conference.  With only three girls, Kirksville did not field a team.

Kirksville boys – 2, David Huskisson, 17:04.  28, Henry Janssen, 20:05.70. 29, Jared Fox, 20:05.90. 38, Brandon Harrison, 21:50.  39, Paul Davis, 22:14.  41, Ryan Gross, 22:33.  45, Cooper Smith, 23:48.

Kirksville girls – 7, Lauren Updyke, 22:27.  19, Brier Skogsberg, 24:39. 32, Niki Kenney, 27:54.

The Kirksville cross country team competes Tuesday, Oct. 21 in Mexico, Mo., in the Mexico Autumn Classic.

The district meet is scheduled for Nov. 1, with the location to be announced.
