The Iowa Wesleyan College baseball team has started the season at the Tucson Invitational in Arizona.

The Tigers are 0-3 on the year after two days.
 
On Sunday, the Tigers lost to Howard Payne University (TX) 2-4.
 
Today (Monday), the Tigers lost two games against Simpson College. In game one, the Tigers fell 4-6. They then fell 9-13 in game two.
 
IWC Softball


The IWC women's softball team also opened the season down in Tucson, Ariz. The Tigers are 1-1 on the year after playing two games today.
 
In the first game, the Tigers defeated Concordia University (Minnesota) 7-0. IWC fell to DeSales University (PA) in the Tigers' second game, losing 0-3. 
 
In the win, IWC's Ayla Serrano picked up the win, recording 9 K's, 4 Walks, and allowing 4 hits.  Sarah Voss went 3 for 3 with 5 RBIs, Jill Leuthscher and Ayla Serrano both went 2 for 4.
 
In the loss to DeSales, all 3 runs were unearned.  IWC committed 5 errors. 

Sonya Holmes was the losing pitcher.
