Wins and losses in spring training don't mean a whole lot. Pitchers often last an inning or two, starters are pulled after three or four, and the outcome of games usually is left in the hands of long-shots just trying to find their way onto a major league roster.
(AP) --
But that doesn't mean the Royals aren't enjoying their unbeaten start.

Kansas City gets a day off Monday after winning nine straight games, and that on the heels of a tie in their spring training opener.

Royals manager Ned Yost scoffs at the idea that the Royals may never lose, but he also points out that they wouldn't be winning all those games if they weren't playing sound baseball.

That has the Royals' confidence on the climb.
