Truman Wrestling will compete in their sixth and final home dual of the season when they host Division I Southern Illinois University Edwardsville on Wednesday night in Pershing Arena. First match is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
 
The Bulldogs are entering the dual with a 6-4 overall record and are on the heels of knocking off nationally-ranked Fort Hays (Kan.) State on Sunday afternoon on the road.

Truman downed the #17 Tigers 23-14 with wins coming from Alex and Ryan Maus, Colton Schmitz, Dustin McClintlock, Nate Seiler and Helmut Rentschler.
 
Schmitz leads the Bulldogs with a 22-7 record while Ryan Maus and Helmut Rentschler are 18-7 and 18-10 respectively on season. 

Schmitz has six wins this year via pinfall and 18 for his career. He has only been pinned once in his three-year Truman career.
 
Truman concluded the conference dual season with a 1-4 record last week and will compete in the MIAA tournament on Sunday in Edmond, Oklahoma.

 Central Oklahoma won the dual season championship with a 5-0 record.
 
The Cougars have struggled to a 3-15 record this season and have lost their last nine dual bouts.

They were last in action at the Davidson (N.C.) Duals  where they lost to host Davidson 25-24, Duke (N.C.) 38-9 and Campbell (N.C.) 41-8.
 
Freshman Jake Residori has posted the most individual wins for the Cougars with a 17-10 record at 174 pounds.
 
Dual History:

Truman holds a 6-3 advantage over the Cougars in dual matches dating back to 2003. SIUE swept both duals last season in Edwardsville by scores of 27-18 and 32-12 with Truman last winning in 2011 27-15 in Kirksville.

According to the probable provided by the coaching staffs, no rematches from last year’s duals are slated to occur.
 
Up Next:

Truman will compete in the MIAA Conference Tournament on Sunday in Edmond, Okla. Each team will enter one wrestler per weight class with the winners earning all-MIAA status. 

The Bulldogs will conclude their regular season on Friday, February 15th at McKendree (Ill.). 

 The NCAA Super Regional  will take place February 23-24 in Ashland, Ohio.
