Missouri Basketball hits the road for the first time in Southeastern Conference action on Saturday as the Tigers meet Ole Miss for the first time in series history at C.M. "Tad" Smith Coliseum in Oxford.
Missouri won its SEC opener on Tuesday, topping Alabama, 84-68, behind double-doubles from Alex Oriakhi (16 points, 10 rebounds) and Phil Pressey (11 points, 13 assists), but the Tigers did lose the services of senior forward Laurence Bowers for a few games.
Bowers will miss the Ole Miss and Georgia games with a sprained right MCL
He will be re-evaluated after the Jan. 16 Georgia contest.
Missouri is playing its second road game of the year
The Tigers have been very good under Frank Haith on the road, going 7-4 since he took over the program .
Missouri and Ole Miss are two of four SEC teams that remain unbeaten at home this season, joining Florida and South Carolina .
Ole Miss is 8-0 at home this year and average a 28.5 ppg margin of victory .
