(AP) -- The National Hockey League lockout is taking a toll on St. Louis.

KMOX radio (http://cbsloc.al/TeiQNP ) reports that in addition to vendors who depend on hockey-related sales, the city is feeling the loss of revenue from St. Louis Blues games.

Twenty NHL games have been lost so far, costing the city an estimated $1.7 million in tax revenue.

That more than offsets the $1.5 million generated by baseball's Cardinals making it to the National League Championship Series.

Mayor Francis Slay says there's little he can do other than, like other hockey fans, hope the lockout ends soon.

As of Monday, the league had scrubbed all games through Dec. 14.
