The Truman volleyball team posted a split on the final day of the Nebraska-Kearney Invitational, earning 3-0 sweep of Northern (S.D.) State before dropping a 3-0 decision to No. 13 Minnesota State in the finale.

Allie Brak led all players with a dozen kills and added a team-best nine digs in the opener, as Truman (6-2) picked up a 3-0 (-18, -14, -18) win against NSU.

Megan Sharpe added seven kills, seven blocks and four aces, while Abby Heise added five kills on a .357 hitting line.

The Bulldogs turned away 12 attacks at the net, led by Sharpe’s seven and Brak’s four.

Truman also served eight aces and held Northern State to an .034 hitting mark.

No stats are available at this time from the finale, as Truman fell 3-0 (-21, -18, -14) to the nation’s No. 13 squad – Minnesota State.

Match statistics will hopefully be made available by tournament-host UNK on Sunday afternoon.

Truman enters MIAA play this week, traveling to league-newcomer Lindenwood University for a 7:00 pm start on Tuesday (Sept. 11) night.
