A large-scale drug ring that allegedly supplied drugs to members of the 2010-11 Kansas men's basketball team involved about $17 million worth of marijuana and cocaine.
(AP) --
The U.S. District Attorney's office for Kansas said Thursday that 35 defendants have been named in a 101-count indictment alleging that dealers supplied "high-grade" marijuana and cocaine in Johnson and Douglas counties.

A federal prosecutor said during a court hearing on the case last month that one defendant, a 32-year-old Overland Park man, supplied marijuana to multiple members of the Jayhawks' squad.

The university would not comment on the case then and officials with the school did not immediately return a phone message seeking comment Thursday.

The indictment stemmed from an original federal complaint that accused 25 people and included only one count.
